Secrets of Korea Revealed pt.I

Seoul is home to an army base that isn't even for their own... You read that right, the metropolitan heart of Korea, Seoul, hosts the American army straight in the middle of Seoul's center. My personal opinion on this matter set aside (as I am quite conflicted remember... Korean? American? Korean American?), I made quite an interesting find looking through maps online. Check it out for yourselves:

This is on Naver... green... looks very "natural"

This is on Daum... okay, so winter time does come and go...

And now this is on Google... where the heck did all those buildings come from?!

Truth be told, those buildings you see in the Google version are all really there. The 9' high opaque barricade around Itaewon/Yongsan army base doesn't make it go away when you're going through that part of Seoul.

On another note, I realized how far we've come. Do you remember the days before online maps? Before GPS navigation systems in cars? Folding paper maps are nearly extinct now-a-days. Wow.
